Reflections on Fatherhood From the Ashes to Alpha Founder

Reflections on Fatherhood From the Ashes to Alpha Founder

Today I’m honoring a personal milestone:
my daughter Ariana’s birthday — December 9th.

Fatherhood has been the most transformative journey of my life.
My firstborn son made me a father.
My daughter made me a protector.
And my stepsons challenged me to grow in ways I never expected.

Someone once told me,
“A daughter changes a man in a way a son never will.”

They were right.

When I held Ariana for the first time, it wasn’t just joy — it was responsibility.
It was realizing that the way I show up as a man will shape how she understands strength, love, and safety for the rest of her life.

And fatherhood — whether biological or through marriage — sharpens you.
It exposes your flaws, demands your growth, and constantly asks,
“Are you becoming the man these kids deserve?”

Ashes to Alpha exists because of that question.

My children — all of them — are the reason I build, write, and live this mission.
They are why the brand focuses on discipline, purpose, resilience, and leadership.

Today, as I celebrate Ariana, I also celebrate the responsibility of fatherhood — and the growth it forces in every man willing to accept that weight.
